2009 WPPI Convention Las Vegas

Mark, Renee', and I recently traveled to Las Vegas for the WPPI Convention! We are very excited about all the new products and ideas we are getting ready to add to the studio.  We began our trip by catching a plane at 5 o'clock Sunday morning! Need less to say we were all a little on edge! (Next time I will make the reservations!) :) Once we arrived in Vegas we obviously had a few hours before check in so we had a nice breakfast, and then went to register for the convention. That evening the welcoming reception was very unique. Since we were at a conference for wedding photographers WPPI had an actual wedding ceremony, and paused through out the ceremony to show tips in how to photograph a wedding. By the end of the night we were all exhausted!

The next two days were spent at the trade show. The favorite purchase from the day were the new backgrounds we purchased from MadCamp. That evening Mark went and listened to Jeff Lubin while Renee' and I went and saw Monica Sigmon. We went away from that evening with many new ideas! :) We also got to hear Denis Reggie speak on several occasions. He is regarded as one of the top wedding photographers in the world!

After the second day at the trade show we took Tuesday afternoon to explore Vegas! Some of the casinos are simply breathtaking. Once our tour of Vegas ended we all parted ways. I'm not really sure what all Mark did that night, but Renee' and I went and saw Thunder From Down Under. I would have to say that it was a highlight of the trip! We both highly encourage any women visiting Las Vegas to check out this show. All in all we had a very productive trip, and can't wait add our new ideas to the studio!
